Self-acclaimed Ghana’s best rapper Lasmid Owusu Nathaniel, better known as Lasmid has revealed the meaning of his stage name, which also happens to be his real name.
The “Friday Night” hitmaker claimed in a recent interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show that his parents gave him the name “Lasmid” even though they are unaware of its meaning.
His name, Lasmid, serves as a perfect illustration of how individuals on his side like giving the names of their wards they themselves do not understand.
He continued by saying that he does not know the meaning of his name and had never heard of anyone else with the same name.
