Shatta Wale’s fans, according to Ghanaian blogger and entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, are “shallow minded” because they mistakenly believe that his criticism of the dancehall artist constitutes hate speech.
Recall that on United Showbiz, the two came dangerously close to exchanging blows when the entertainment pundit described the artist as having a confused mentality due to his own conflicting statements.
Since then, it’s been reported that there is tension between the two people, with Shatta Wale supporters mostly criticizing Arnold on social media for coming out in confidence about the musician.
In the most recent episode of United Showbiz on UTV, Arnold addressed this and clarified his relationship with Shatta Wale.
Arnold claims that despite what his fans may believe, he does not dislike Shatta Wale and that the musician’s achievements in life cannot be compared to his own.
He said: “I am sure when I speak, either Shatta wale or some of his don’t get it so they sieve through my comment and pick what they think is negative.
“Shatta Wale has some discerning fans but some of them are very shallow minded so when I speak they say I hate Shatta Wale and his successful life. Wale is not my level for me to hate him, his level is the likes of Davido and Wizkid,“ he added.
