It has come to light that the president has revoked Hon. Adwoa Sarfo’s appointment as the current member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya.

A statement from the office of the President states;

“In accordance with Article 81(a) of the constitution, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah , Member of Parliament for Dome- Kwabenya, as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, with immediate effect” portion of the statement said.

The statement added that, ”the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, will continue to act as the Caretaker Minister, until such a time President Akufo-Addo appoints a substantive Minister.”

For more than a year without authorization, the member of parliament for the New Patriotic Party representing the Dome Kwabenya Constituency in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana has been absent from Parliament.
