Popular Kumawood actor Nana Yaw Yeboah has vowed never to attend the National Cathedral that the Akufo Addo administration is constructing.
The building of the National Cathedral is one of the most debated issues in the nation. The choice to use taxpayer funds to construct the cathedral has been opposed by many Ghanaians.
The National Cathedral’s building would be paid for using public cash, President Nana Ado disclosed. Many individuals, notably the opposition NDC, who opposed the choice, found his statement offensive.
Comedian Nana Yaw Yeboah said in an interview on Ghanaman TV’s “Show Kanawu” that money spent to build the cathedral should go toward other initiatives like building roads.
“Even if you build that Chapel, I Yeboah Asiamah will not enter. It is wrong for you to say you are building a Cathedral, totally wrong. How is it possible for somebody from afar to travel all the way to Accra before he can access the Temple and worship?” Nana Yeboah asked
“Use the money to construct roads instead so that people can attest to the fact that you are indeed developing the country. How can you take such an amount to build a church? I will never enter it”, he added.
