I don’t consider myself as a superstar – Yaw Tog

Despite his increasing reputation, rising Ghanaian rapper Yaw Tog (real name Thorsten Owusu Gyimah) has stated he does not consider himself famous.

In a recent interview with Kastle FM, the singer of “Sei Mu” declared that despite common trust in his role as a major musician, he rejects the title for himself.

I live my life like a normal person since fame hasn't really infiltrated my life, he said. “I don't see myself as a big artist who is so pompous or arrogant,” he added.

He added “Although people see me as a big artiste, the moment you also see yourself as a celebrity or big artiste, it makes the fame enter you to do certain things that you'll regret later on.

“So, for now, I don't see myself as a celebrity or big artiste,” he said on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM.

“I shouldn't even think about that to the extent that it will enter my head to feel too big for people to easily approach or talk to me,” he stated.
