In their World Cup pre-tournament friendly on Thursday in Abu Dhabi, Ghana defeated Switzerland 2-0 with two goals in the space of four second-half minutes.
Ghana took the lead in the 70th minute after defender Mohammed Salisu’s looping header from a shoddy corner.
Four minutes later, Yann Sommer of Switzerland stopped Kamaldeen Sulemana’s ferocious dash, but the ball floated up for Antoine Semenyo to score from close range.
The encounter served as a practice for both nations’ opening World Cup match in Qatar.
