By Kwame Tony Veteran actor Fred Amugi stated in an interview with Pulse Ghana that his greatest ambition for his 74th birthday on November 5, 2022, was to see himself on a billboard while still living. He did not want to pass away before receiving such honors.
An online influencer and philanthropist named Naa Adjeley Shuga tagged Caveman Watches CEO Anthony Dzamefe shortly after the video went viral on social media. Before the day was through, steps had been taken to turn Uncle Fred’s wish into reality.
The first billboard is now up, and the contract is fully finalized. On Thursday, November 24, 2022, Fred Amugi was given a tour of the board by the honoree CEO and other members of his staff.
Uncle Fred saw the billboard and was stunned, unable to believe what he was seeing.
When the first billboard featuring Fred Amugi’s image prominently displayed on it was eventually put up, the legendary Ghanaian actor was so moved that he nearly broke down in tears.
