Each Saudi Arabian Player To Get A Rolls Royce After Beating Argentina At The World Cup
Each of the Saudi Arabian players who delivered the tournament’s first upset will get a Rolls Royce for their valiant victory.
FIFA’s 51st-ranked Saudi Arabia, one of the World Cup’s lowest-ranked teams, defeated world No. 3 Argentina in their opening match of Group C, snapping the South American team’s 36-game winning streak. Following Lionel Messi’s successful penalty shot, goals from Saleh Al Shehri and Salem Al Dawsari secured a significant victory.
Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud said that each of the players will be honored with a Rolls Royce Phantom, with prices beginning at £363,600, hours after Saudi King Salman proclaimed Wednesday a public holiday to commemorate the national team’s incredible triumph.
A Rolls Royce has previously been given to a Saudi Arabian player. When Saeed Al-Owairan scored the game-winning goal against Belgium in the 1994 tournament, he was awarded one of the high-end vehicles.
For Bin Salman, whose estimated net worth is $8 billion, that sum would be equivalent to £9.4 million.
Saudi Arabia‘s next opponent is Poland on Saturday, November 26, and a victory there would put them one step closer to making it to the competition’s knockout stages.
