Shirley Okyere of TV3 Talented Kids Season 10 debutes two new singles; “Boame” & “My Time” with videos 

Musician Shirley Okyere, has proven to Ghanaians with her first two singles, “Boame & My Time”, that music is in her genes just like her father, King Pharoah of Akatakyie music group fame. 

Setting a record among her peers, the young musician releases beautiful visuals for her two singles.

“My Time”, being the first released, was to announce to the world that her time has come. She went on to seek the help and support of all and sundry, hence the new one, titled “Boame”, a ‘Twi’ word meaning ‘Help Me‘.

About Shirley Okyere:

Shirley Abena Oparebea Okyere, popularly known as Shirley Okyere, is the biological daughter of the legendary Ghanaian music icon, King Pharoah, a member of the oldest surviving Ghanaian music group, Akatakyie. Akatakyie boasts of hit songs like “Odo Asisi Me”, “Mengbo”, “ESI”, “Siesie Oba No ft. Okyeame Kwame”, and many more. Shirley Okyere was one of the popular names in Ghana back in 2018 and 2019 when she contested on the maiden edition of the Adom TV Nsoromma Reality Talent show and went on to star on TV3 Ghana’s Talented Kids reality show. 

Shirley is currently the Girl’s Prefect (GP) of Suhum Senior High School after successfully passing her Basic Education at Holy Alpha Academy in Accra-Lapaz. Hailing from Aburi in the Eastern Region, Shirley never shies away from fusing her native language, Twi, in her music. The ever-smiling Shirley Okyere, never seizes to amaze her fans as she wore her smiles in the two beautiful music videos shot for “My Time” & “Boame”. 

Videos: 

The “My Time” video concept borders on motivation. The director, Yaw Spoky, portrayed Shirley Okyere in the music video as a character who went through life’s pain and suffering but later became a successful person. This is to serve as an inspiration to her fans to hold on to life believing and knowing that their time to make it will come regardless of the hard times. 

“Boame” on the other hand borders on help seeking as the core concept. An intriguing and impressive video shot and directed by Sneer Films, yet to be premiered on the YouTube channel of Shirley Okyere, on Sunday, 27^th November, 2022, at 8pm in the night.
