Daddy Lumba Reconciles With Nana Acheampong
The high-life music genre has been around for a while. Any excellent thing must be continually sought in order to survive or flourish. In Ghana during the Gold Coast era, several outstanding musicians like Osibisa developed high-life music. Humans age and weaken so that the next generation may take over.
Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong are responsible for keeping high-life music alive and well in Ghana and other regions of Africa. The success of High Life was not only due to them, but they are at least the most well-known. The Lumba brothers' Nana Acheampong and Daddy Lumba partnership actually ended because of that.
There have been several reports about the duo's breakup. However, Nana Acheampong tells the truth. Some say it was because of a lady, while others say it was a financial misunderstanding.
After over ten years of singing together, according to Nana Acheampong, they split up when Daddy Lumba moved from Germany to another place. They decided to part ways amicably since Daddy Lumba's inability to attend studio sessions due to the move prevented them from doing so.
The Lumba brothers, as they are called, reunited on stage when the two were invited to perform at the Kab fam Legends Night on January 1, 2023, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center.
