How My Father Died – SDK Narrates

Published

on

On November 24, 2021, Ghanaian comedian SDK Dele lost his father. He has since written about what occurred to Francis Sulley before his untimely death.

The actor, who frequently appeared in sketches with his parents, revealed to Deloris Frimpong Manso on The Delay Show, which aired on January 1, 2023, that both of his parents were ill, which put a lot of responsibility on him because he had to take care of them.

He got a distressing phone call from his mother while filming with the rapper Kwesi Arthur, telling him that his father, who had high blood pressure, had fallen and that he needed to go home.

“I left the set to go to our home in Kubekrom. When I arrived home, he was on the floor, so I picked him up and put him on a chair. “I requested a malt since he was breathing,” recounted.

The comedian claimed that seeing his father in such a state made him feel uncomfortable and caused him to say that it would be better for the father to pass away than live and make things worse.

“Despite my repeated calls for him to answer, he did not,” I muttered in his ears. “He was hurting,” stated, pointing out that his father wasn't listening to him.

“We took him to Mother of God Hospital,” he continued. I requested the nurses help him, and they did so. I informed the nurses I had to rush back and give a shot when I saw he had been cared for and was stabilized.

After the session, SDK went back to the hospital and spent some time with his father.

He was breathing, but I couldn't hear him. I stayed with him until about 1-2 a.m. before going home to sleep, said SDK.

“Around five in the morning, one of the nurses told me to come to the hospital early.” “When I arrived, I was informed that we had put off taking him to the hospital,” he concluded his account.
