Kojo Kurankye, better known as Ras Kuuku, one of Ghana’s great stage performers, has urged musicians to conduct their own shows.
In a recent interview, he spoke about the advantages they would get from organizing their own concerts.
“Also, when musicians put on their own events, they frequently invite other artists to support them.” Because they don’t want the supporting artists to perform better than they do, they bring it.
“For instance, I had musical acts like Samini, Iwan, and Kofi Jamar play during my Puomfest, among others. “I had to step it up to show my followers what I am also capable of because of their influence in the music industry,” Kuuku told Graphic Showbiz.
“When you charge reasonably, your fans will come to the show in large numbers, resulting in your earning some money at the end of the day.” More so, given the effort required to plan such events, these musicians are regarded as innovative.
Fans will always support musicians who can lead their own shows even if they don’t have a hit song because they know they’ll get their money’s worth, he added.
