One SHS student, one tablet is an initiative that will start this year, according to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Students will receive tablets loaded with textbooks when it is implemented for SHS students. This is a component of the government's strategy to transform Ghana's educational system into a digital one.

He said that all necessary textbooks and instructional materials will be downloaded onto the tablets that second-cycle school pupils will get.

He announced this at the University of Ghana's New Year's School this year. This is a component of the government's strategy to transform Ghana's educational system into a digital one.

“We want to provide every senior high school student in Ghana with a tablet this year that is loaded with textbooks for their coursework.” That development completely changes the game. “These distributed tablets would come pre-loaded with previous exam questions,” he said.

Only students at public SHSs across the nation will be the focus of the One SHS Student, One Tablet program.
