No More Kids For Now, I Want To Invest In Majesty – Michy

Michy, the ex-girlfriend of dancehall sensation Shatta Wale, has advised parents against having several kids unless they are financially prepared.

In an interview with Felicia Osei on Onua FM, the artist noted that before having children, a person should be able to provide the greatest possible quality of life for another human being, both financially and emotionally.

Michy claims that she does not believe that because children are a blessing from heaven, God will “miraculously” provide for their needs.

She revealed that she has decided to wait to have additional kids till she is financially secure enough to provide them with a good life.

She said: 

“Having a second child is particularly difficult right now because of the economy.” And I believe that working hard and producing one or two wealthy generations is preferable to having numerous children. Currently, tuition costs roughly GH10,000. Therefore, even if I divide it between two children, I will either need to lower the standard of the school or work more. It is not worthwhile to stress the kids.

“I can put off having another child for a very long time simply to give Majesty the time and resources he needs to develop the potential I see in him.”

“I'll have more children if God grants me the money I need.” Simply put, I just want to make sure I can provide the kids with more than they actually need. You shouldn't necessarily give birth just because you can. You see, raising kids is expensive. They are investments that don't pay off and require the most attention.
