Gospel musician Diana Hamilton thinks that for a marriage to flourish, a couple’s commitment to making it work is a major factor.
Diana Hamilton, who just marked her 17th wedding anniversary, agrees that tying the knot with a friend makes it simpler to deal with any difficulties that may arise.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the 2021 Artiste of the Year continues, “You just don’t get up one day to reach a specific level in marriage.” You need to be deliberate about it and start from scratch. More so, when you get married with the appropriate mindset—that I’m going to remain and make this relationship work—it will work.
Diana Hamilton said that grace and perhaps the fact that she married her friend were the reasons why it had worked for her all these years.
Given the length of a marriage, I won’t claim to be an expert. But getting married to my buddy was a big assistance, and there was also the choice to make it work no matter what. When you are determined and focused on your goals, you will not give up easily, she said.
Diana Hamilton said it was difficult balancing being a mother, a wife, a nurse, and a musician, but she was able to accomplish it through the grace of God and hard work.
