Annie Wersching, ‘24’ actress, dies at 45

Actor Annie Wersching, best known for playing FBI agent Renee Walker in the series 24 has died at the age of 45.

Wersching died on Sunday morning in Los Angeles following a battle with cancer.

Her husband and the father of her three sons, Stephen Full, confirmed the information in a statement made available to US news organizations.

“This family’s soul has a vast hole in it right now.

According to the Hollywood news site Deadline, Wershing received a cancer diagnosis in 2020 but remained working and doing what she loved.

Diana 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland paid tribute to her, calling her one of the best actors he’d ever worked with and noting that the world had “lost a light” with her passing.

She shared screen time with Titus Welliver in the television series Bosch. He simply said: “Words are absent. Thank you, Annie.”

In the video game The Last Of Us, Wersching provided Tess’ voice.

Author Neil Druckmann said the following on Twitter: “We recently lost a wonderful artist and person. My heart is broken. Her loved ones are in our thoughts.”

The Timeless sci-fi series co-star Wersching and actor Abigail Spencer wrote, “You are so loved, Annie Wersching. We will miss you terribly.”

Wersching, who was born and reared in St. Louis, Missouri, had numerous television appearances during the course of her two-decade career.

Her first acting credit was in Star Trek: Enterprise, and she then had recurring parts as the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard as well as the seventh and eighth seasons of 24, Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, and The Rookie.
