In less than a year after losing his father, comedian SDK Dele, who is formally known as Sadik Sulley, has announced the death of his mother.
The comedian shared the news of his mother Rebecca Opong's passing on Twitter on January 31.
“Lost my lovely mom,” he wrote. Mama, rest in peace.
His mother was a well-liked character who frequently appeared in his humorous sketches.
His parents co-starred in the comedian's debut movie, Blue Film, and played the parents of his character.
The mother of SDK Dele had been ill for a while.
In an interview with Delay, the comedian said that his mother was suffering a stroke and expressed gratitude that his father had passed away because it was impossible for both of his parents to be ill at the same time.
For some time now, SDK Dele's mother has been in the news after appearing in sketches made by her son.
