Mixon recorded 145 scrimmage yards in the Bengals' season-opening 23-20 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the 42-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 9, Mixon carried for 153 yards, had 58 receiving yards, a career-high, and a franchise record five touchdowns. For his performance against the Panthers, he was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
