Terry Lynn Nichols is an American domestic terrorist who was convicted for his role in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. The bombing, which took place on April 19, 1995, killed 168 people and injured over 800 others, making it one of the deadliest acts of domestic terrorism in American history.
Nichols was born on April 1, 1955, in Lapeer, Michigan. He was a former farmer and former US Army soldier, who later became involved with co-conspirator Timothy McVeigh in a plot to bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
In 1997, Nichols was tried and convicted on charges of conspiracy and involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He was later convicted on additional charges in a federal trial and sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Despite his convictions, some people continue to question the official account of the Oklahoma City bombing and the role that Nichols and McVeigh played in it.

Terry Nichols' funeral started at about 1 p.m. local time at the Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church.
Vice President Kamala Harris attended the funeral. The Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy.
Nichols' funeral service was held five days after the city of Memphis released videos showing the brutal police assault on him Jan. 7. Since the release, the Memphis Police Department's Scorpion unit, whose members included the five fired officers charged with second-degree murder, has been permanently deactivated.
The fallout has also reached other agencies, including the Memphis Fire Department, which terminated three EMTs. Two additional Memphis police officers have also been relieved of duty.
