Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto's comments on 3FM's drivetime broadcast on Friday, February 10, 2023, have generated a lot of controversies with his latest assertion.
He asserts that the success of his viral hit song, “Fa No Fom,” outpaces that of Black Sherif, the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards' “New Artist of the Year.”
He claims that the song, which has just under 160,000 views as of this writing, has received more global attention than any other song the trap musician has ever put out.
When both songs were selected for the same category at an awards ceremony, DJ Azonto triumphed with “Fa no Fom” over Black Sherif's “Kwaku The Traveler,” supporting his allegation.
“Facts are facts, and the truth is only one.” We know that Blacko is an international artist, and I give him that respect. But none of Blacko's songs has traveled more than Fa No Fom. “It's a fact,” he said.
