According to ghanacelebrities.com, the twin sister of Ghana Black Star midfielder Christian Atsu, Christiana Atsupie Twasam, has sobbed at the suffering her brother's current state has caused her.
Christiana recently admitted in an interview that she hasn't been able to sleep because her brother's whereabouts are still a mystery.
She admitted that ever since hearing about the earthquake, she had nightmares about his brother.
Following an earthquake in Turkey, the international footballer and member of the Ghana Black Stars was trapped under the debris. Turkey's Hatayspor is where Atsu plays. On Sunday, February 5, 2023, against Kasimpasa, he played a key role in the team's last game.
The solitary goal of the game, scored by Atsu, gave Hatayspor the win.
Unfortunately, the area where the players were staying was damaged by an earthquake a day after the game. Atsu hasn't been located yet.
Atsu and Taner Suvet, the team's directors, were buried beneath the debris when the structure in which they were housed collapsed.
