Michael Essien is hailed as a superb player by former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi, who claims the Ghanaian doesn't receive the respect he deserves.
Mikel Speaking about his old midfield partner, Mikel claimed that Essien was a monster in the gym and a strong machine.
“Essien never receives the praise he merits, in my opinion. He is known as the trainer in training. The way he practices makes him a strong machine. “He works nonstop there every day,” the former Nigerian captain told Dubai Eye.
What a gentleman he is, aside from football. “He is the train and the bison, and we refer to him as such,” Mikel added.
