Kafui Dey

Kafui Dey, the former host of Ghana's Who Wants to Be Rich?, has voiced concern about the lyrics of the majority of local rap music, claiming that they only discuss money or show how an artist is wealthier than his peers.

He illustrated to his fans in a recent tweet how the bulk of Ghanaian rappers focus their energy on discussing money in their songs.

Taking to Twitter, Kafui Dey wrote:

“Listening to some Ghanaian rap on radio and all the songs are about making money, how much money they have, how they will make money by all means, how they have money more than other people etc.”

“Every verse has ‘sika' or ‘money' Is that all there is to rap about?”
