The absence of industry support, according to Ghanaian artist Sista Afia, is preventing her from moving further in her career.

She stressed in an interview with 3Music TV that while her supporters are mostly her followers, the fact that some influential business figures tend to minimize her work during large events is a hindrance to her advancement.

“God is my witness, but I feel like I haven't gotten as much help. I've completed my obligations as a solo artist. I track my music. In my home, there is a studio. Since JEJE, I've been recording my music, and I still do it today. I'm pleased doing what I'm doing, not because I want people to see what I'm doing. There hasn't been much help for me.

The people who hold you and take you places love me more than the fans. At times, I too must take a back seat. I overhear conversations about me. When they ask me to appear on a show, I occasionally get comments like, “Why are you putting her on? Put this one instead.”
