I Have Gain Haters Because Of My Support For The LGBTQ Community – Sister Derby
When the debate came on that the people of the LGBTQ community should be allowed to do to themselves whatever they want in Ghana, a lot of Ghanaians stood against that, but Sister Derby and Kubolor rallied their support behind these people.
In a recent interview with Sika Osei on Lynx TV, the uncle Obama hitmaker revealed that because of the love he showed to the people of the LGBTQ community, a lot of people have hated her.
Well, so most recently, according to my research, I don’t blame other women for hating me because we were raised differently… Hence, I don’t take it personally. I believe that people hate me because I am self-assured, act as I please, and get away with it. They don’t seem to realize that it’s a calculated move—would it land me in jail? Will I offend someone? etc. No. “So you may say whatever you want,” she said.
Nevertheless, the most significant thing is that after I included Angel Maxine’s song “The LGBTQ Song,” people have said things like “That’s why he left you, you’re a lesbian and all that,” and I can’t really blame them since when I was younger, I didn’t really think that way,” she added.
