John Dumelo Calls On Akufo Addo To Boycott 6th March Celebration And Save The Country Millions Of Cedis

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been urged to postpone this year's Independence Day celebrations by Ghanaian actor John Dumelo, who is now a politician and farmer.

The celebrations that take place on March 6 in all the regional capitals, he claimed, cannot be supported by the Ghanaian economy at this time.

Dumelo stated the following in a social media post:

Greetings @NAkufoAddo, respectfully we are in hard times, can you please cancel all state, regional and district Independence Day celebrations? You can do your usual ‘fellow Ghanaians' broadcast on tv. This will save us millions of cedis. Thanks so much”.
