Ghanaian feminist and actress Lydia Forson has revealed that she doesn’t view herself as a great actress.

On Citi TV yesterday to commemorate International Women’s Day, the outspoken actress stated astonishingly, “I feel like I am not there yet.” Despite having worked in the film industry for almost two decades,

I have the impression of a young actress…

To me, the years are still not adding up.

The accomplished actress said the following when discussing some of the difficulties she faced on her path to fame:

“I usually say I am privileged because I come from a background where I have tremendous support, and because I am the youngest female relative and the majority of my cousins are men, I truly began the industry from a position of advantage in how I regarded myself.” I foolishly thought that women could have it all.

She emphasized that she had never once thought of herself as being unique.

“Because with my brothers, I knew they were men, I knew they were different, but I also knew we were equal, and I think people misinterpret the battle for equality, thinking you want to be a guy; no, I simply want to be treated with the same respect,” the author says.
