The decision of Nana Ama McBrown to leave Despite Media Group and join Media General has drawn criticism from several Despite Media staff members.
Announcement duo Ohene and Kwame Nkrumah Ola Michale and Abena Moet called McBrown unappreciative, while Nana Kwame Amo made insinuations. McBrown, on the other hand, was supported by Vim Lady, who emphasized that she was free to work for whatever company she wanted. When Nana Ama McBrown switched from Notwithstanding Media Group to Media General, hip-hop legend Reggie Rockstone described his experience of being chastised by Ghanaians for doing so.
Hip-hop grandpapa Reggie Rockstone recognized the criticism in a statement on Instagram, but he also made it clear that everyone he had worked with liked the music they had produced. Moreover, he stated that he thought that individuals should change for the better.
He wrote:
“Till this day, some folx still cuss me about joining VIP into VVIP, but all enjoyed the music we made lol smh! Humans can be sum way huh! Change is good, and we all move on! Bless us all, AMEN.”
