My Headmistress Loved My Teaching Skills Even Though I Was Paid Just 150 Cedis – Fameye

In an interview with Accra FM, singer Peter Fameyeh Bozah, better known by his stage name Fameye, said that while he worked as a teacher, he received a salary of GH150.

Speaking on, the songwriter said that he had held a teaching position at Mempeasem, a school in East Legon close to Trinity.


claimed that he delighted in instructing youngsters and frequently performed jamma songs for them, adding that his distinctive method of instruction helped him establish a strong bond with them and earn the moniker “Teacher Peter.”

“Mempeasem is a school in East Legon, near Trinity, where I had previously taught. You don't need to do much when you're around youngsters, and I used to sing jamma to the kids far too often. Too frequently, I took the kids out into the streets. “Sharing, he said.

While confessed that the headmistress of the school was occasionally perplexed by his teaching approach, he remembered the experience of working with children and the joy he felt from it with affection.
