Bragg was raised on Striver's Row and is a native of Harlem. He completed his education at Trinity School before enrolling at Harvard College. He got his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, after graduating from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in government in 1995.
