The shirts that the players wore during yesterday's Premier League game between Chelsea and Everton, two of the late Christian Atsu's teams, are up for sale, along with other artifacts.
The money that will be gained from the auction will go to Arms Around the Child, a nonprofit organization for whom Christian served as an ambassador, and it will be used to finish the school that was begun in his home country of Ghana.
Christian Atsu, a player for Chelsea from 2013 to 2017, tragically passed away last month in the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey, where he had relocated to play. This weekend is his funeral.
The auction, which includes memorabilia from club legends as well as autographed shirts from every member of the squad, will run until 2 p.m. on April 8th.
