Davido, the Nigerian superstar, has confirmed rumors that he and his longtime girlfriend, Chef Chioma, are officially married.
Davido, who had taken a long break from the public eye and social media, announced his new album in March.
The ‘Blow My Mind’ singer revealed he was now a family man in an exclusive interview with content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori.
“Just being away, you know I have had a lot to think about definitely. Time to rest, reflect on a lot of family time and time to make music again,” he said
He continued, “You know, I remade the album. Before I went on a break I actually had an album ready. I had a tour ready. You know we did the album. I travelled. It was crazy. I’m married. A lot of different things but yeah, we are ready now to get back on the road.
Davido and Chioma, who postponed their wedding during the Covid-19 pandemic, had been on and off until their reunion last year, a few months before the death of their son, Ifeanyi.
Last year, the Davido Music Worldwide boss hinted at the upcoming wedding in a post by UK-based Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega.
Fans congratulated the couple and wished them marital bliss on social media.
