Wizkid checks up on me every week – Davido Reveals

Davido has revealed in a new interview that he has a friendly relationship with his rival Wizkid, despite their long-running feud that has equally divided their fans.

During a recent interview on Lagos’ Beat 99.9FM, the DMW boss revealed that Wizkid calls him every week to see how he’s doing.

He went on to say that a joint tour with Wizkid would begin the following year. Davido also proposed that they work together in the future.

He said, “I would be lying to you if I tell you that [the tour] is not in the talks. It’s looking like next year. I think me and Wiz are probably going to drop a record. Shout out to my brother. He literally calls me every week and checks on me. Shout out to Wiz”.

Similarly, Wizkid surprised his fans by requesting that they stream his new album, timeless, just hours after it was released on March 31, while referring to Davido as his “brother.”

The album was released on March 31, 2023 by the seasoned Afrobeat artist, and it has already gained popularity on some digital streaming services.

Despite their protracted feud, Wizkid showed maturity by patting his industry on the back and asking his fans- generically known as Wizkid FC to patronise the new album. “Inside!! Y’all go listen to timeless by my brother @Davido ,” he wrote.
