Kokorin is originally from southwest Russia and started his career with FC Dynamo Moscow before moving on to play for Zenit Saint Petersburg and Spartak Moscow. Kokorin has received awards for his achievements and has become a symbol of talent in Russian football.
He has gained over 45 caps and been named in the Russian squads for Euro 2012, 2014 FIFA World Cup, and Euro 2016. Kokorin was arrested in October 2018 on an assault-related charge and spent approximately one year in prison.
