He was a four-star recruit and initially committed to DePaul before switching to Texas Tech.
Shannon’s college career began with a season-high 24 points and eight rebounds in a 65-60 overtime loss to DePaul. He averaged 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a freshman and earned Third Team All-Big 12 honors as a sophomore.
