Jaren Hall, born on March 24, 1998, is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at Brigham Young University (BYU) and had a career with 5,109 passing yards and 52 touchdowns. Hall became the first black quarterback to start a game at BYU, completing 31 of 46 passes for 420 yards with one touchdown. He took a medical redshirt in 2020 before taking over as starter in 2021.
Hall also played baseball for BYU’s baseball team in 2019 and 2020. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut on November 5, 2023, but was forced to leave due to a concussion. He made his debut against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 and was benched at halftime after completing five of ten passes for 67 yards, an interception, and a fumble.
