Sam Reinhart Family: Parents, Siblings, Wife and Children

Arguably one of the best Canadian professional ice hockey players is Sam Reinhart, who plays for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Reinhart attended Collingwood School and played tennis in high school. He also played baseball, lacrosse, and soccer, and considers himself a huge soccer fan. In his minor ice hockey career, Reinhart started as a defenseman but eventually ended up as a center. He played for the Vancouver Northwest Giants of the BC Hockey Major Midget League (BCMML) won the 2010–11 BCMML championship and finished fourth in the 2011 Telus Cup.

In his junior season, Reinhart was selected 15th overall by the Kootenay Ice in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. He was part of the Ed Chynoweth Cup-winning team in the 2010–11 season and was awarded the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy in 2011–12. Reinhart is one of three hockey-playing brothers and is the son of former NHL All-Star Paul Reinhart. He was ranked fourth on the NHL Central Scouting Bureau’s 2014 midterm rankings for North American skaters.

Reinhart has represented Canada at five International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) sanctioned events, winning gold in 2016, gold in 2015, and bronze in 2012 at the under-18 level. He also represented Canada Pacific at the 2012 World U-17 Hockey Challenge and Canada at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Paul and Theresa Reinhart are the parents of Sam Reinhart. Paul, a former defenseman in the National Hockey League who grew up in a sporting household, works as a financier and promoter in the stock market. Sam’s parents’ encouragement played a big part in helping him establish his early hockey enthusiasm.

The Panthers star, Sam Reinhart is happily married to Jessica Jewell. They tied the knot on July 7, 2023. The couple does not have any children yet.
