The Ghana, a NPO that collaborates with the Ghana Tourism Authority, to introduce our Younger Ones to the Tourism and Cultural Potentials of Ghana paid a courtesy call to H.E Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett. 

The Team, led by their dedicated CEO, Nana Akua Afriyie, recently undertook a significant mission by paying a courtesy call to Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett, the esteemed Founder and Head of Mission of the Diaspora Africa Forum (DAF).

The purpose of this visit was twofold: to express deep appreciation and gratitude for the unwavering support and assistance provided during the Annual Kids in Tourism Festival and to discuss the way forward for future endeavors.

The Annual Kids in Tourism Festival, a celebration of youthful creativity and enthusiasm, received substantial support from the Diaspora Africa Forum. Three schools, fortunate beneficiaries of this support, experienced the positive impact of the collaboration, enhancing the overall success and reach of the festival.

The assistance from DAF not only contributed to the festival's success but also played a crucial role in fostering educational opportunities and cultural exchange for the participating schools.

During the visit, a poignant moment unfolded as the Kids in Tourism Team presented Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett with a thoughtfully crafted portrait by Christine Afrah Attakorah, a 14 Years old form 3 student from Vichans International School. Abelemkpe, Accra. This portrait, a product of the children's creativity and gratitude, symbolized the profound impact of collaboration and support. It stood as a testament to the meaningful connections forged between organizations with shared goals of empowering youth and promoting cultural understanding.

Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett graciously received the intricately crafted portrait from the Kids in Tourism Team, expressing her heartfelt appreciation for the thoughtful gesture. Overwhelmed with emotion, she conveyed her gratitude for the acknowledgment of her hard work and sacrifices in making the Kids in Tourism initiative a tremendous success.

Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett also acknowledged the pledge made by the Diaspora Africa Forum to take care of the kids and facilitate their visit to the United States. She expressed her excitement about the potential for this opportunity to broaden the horizons of the young participants, providing them with unique experiences and educational prospects.

“I am overwhelmed, and am very very speechless, I really thank Nana for the hard work she doing, the sacrifices she's made to make the Kids In Tourism a tremendous success.. One of the things that want to pledge as Diaspora Africa Forum is that we will take some of the kids to US”  She said

Ambassador Bennett's words resonated with a sense of optimism, highlighting the importance of continued support and collaboration in nurturing the potential of the younger generation.

About Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett

H.E. Dr. Erieka Bennett is the convening Founder and Head of Mission of the (AU) African Diaspora Forum, the first and only diplomatic embassy in the world dealing specifically with the Diaspora issues. The role of the Mission is to link Diaspora Africans and their talents to support the development of Africa. Dr. Bennett has been a valuable asset to the African Union's development of Diaspora issues. Dr. Bennett was a selected member of the first AU ECOSSOC.

Dr. Bennett was one of the supporters of African Woman 2004 which produced the Abuja Accords, the historic document on the Aspirations of the African Woman which was developed at the first ever African Woman's conference held in Abuja, Nigeria, March 2004. This document was submitted to Beijing plus ten for forum development and adoption as a major voice for the African woman at the United Nations Forum for women.
