After Ghana drew with Mozambique in a pivotal match that decided their fate in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16, defender Daniel Amartey of Ghana took off his Black Stars shirt.
Daniel Amartey took off his shirt, causing a stir among the locals.
In the pictures, he made a gesture meant to show sympathy for the numerous irate and emotional fans who were upset that the club had abandoned its round of 16 berths.
However, some people have also read meaning into Amartey stripping off his jersey, meaning he is done with the Black Stars teams and biding farewell to the fans, especially when news broke out this week that the Beskistas defender has deleted photos in his Black Stars jersey from his social media.
