Born on November 30, 1987, Gradel made his debut for the Ivory Coast national team in June 2011, and has since been a consistent performer on both domestic and international stages.

His club career has taken him to various teams and leagues, including Leicester City and Leeds United. Gradel received his first call-up to the Ivory Coast national team in November 2010 and won both Fans Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards at Leeds. In June 2018, he joined French club Toulouse.
