Max-Alain Gradel is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Turkish Süper Lig club Gaziantep and the Ivory Coast national team. Born on November 30, 1987, Gradel made his debut for the Ivory Coast national team in June 2011, and has since been a consistent performer on both domestic and international stages.
His club career has taken him to various teams and leagues, including Leicester City and Leeds United. Gradel received his first call-up to the Ivory Coast national team in November 2010, and won both Fans Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards at Leeds. In June 2018, he joined French club Toulouse.
Gradel showcased his skills through loan spells at AFC Bournemouth and Leeds United, attracting interest from other clubs. He scored the top goal for Saint-Étienne in the 2014-15 season. Despite injuries, Gradel made an impact with AFC Bournemouth before signing a permanent contract with Toulouse. His time in France was successful, despite Ligue 1 relegation.
Gradel’s journey continued with a move to Sivasspor in the Turkish Süper Lig, where he earned accolades for his performances, including inclusion in the Süper Lig Team of the Season. His success culminated in winning the Turkish Cup with Sivasspor.
