Justin Holiday is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played collegiate basketball for the Washington Huskies, but he was unfortunately undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft. He began is professional career in Belgium with Okapi Aalstar. Previously, he has played for Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and the Dallas Mavericks. He was a member of the Golden State Warriors team that won the 2015 NBA championship.

On April 5, 1989, in Mission Hills, California, the United States, Justin Alaric Holiday was born. The NCAA basketball players Shawn Holiday and Toya Decree Holiday are the parents of four children, including him. Jrue, Aaron, and Lauren Holiday are his siblings.

He went to Campbell High School in Studio City, California w here he played basketball. As a senior, he led his team to a 33-1 record and the state Class IV championship, averaging 19.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.

Holiday enrolled at University of Washington to continue with his career. As a freshman, he did not take up any major as he was used sparingly. He averaged 0.7 points in 6.6 minutes per game in 19 matches.

In his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, he did up his game and made great strides. Holiday averaged 5.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 22.2 minutes per game in his junior season.

Holiday bettered his performances in his senior season, averaging 10.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.3 minutes per game. Despite hitting the rims on constant basis, he was not drafted in the 2011 NBA draft.

Holiday began his professional career in Belgium with Okapi Aalstar for the 2011-12 season. He played alongside Chris Copeland, a fellow future NBA player. After the season, he moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers who waived him and he had to join Idaho Stampede.

Ahead of the 2013 season, he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, making his debut in an 88-83 loss against Charlotte Bobcats on April 3, 2013. On April 26, Holiday was named to the All-NBA D-League Third Team and All-Defensive Second Team.

On November 21, 2013, Holiday joined Szolnoki Olaj of the Hungarian basketball league for the remainder of the 2013-14 season. He played a total 19 games, averaging 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Holiday made a comeback to the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the Golden State Warriors for the 2014-15 season. Since returning, he has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Memphis Grizzlies, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and currently with the Denver Nuggets.
