Politicians Don’t Spend Our Money, Blame Ghanaians For The Hardship In Ghana- Shatta Wale
Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known in the entertainment industry as Shatta Wale, asserts that the “Lazy” people of Ghana, not the politicians, are to blame for the nation’s problems.
Shatta Wale says he laughs uncontrollably whenever he sees politicians taking the blame for Ghana’s suffering.
Speaking in an interview that Ghbase.com viewed on 3Music TV, the dancehall enigma blamed Ghana’s problems on the country’s youth’s extreme laziness and lack of motivation to take on meaningful work.
According to Shatta Wale, politicians are working tirelessly to improve Ghana, but the youth are so sluggish that they miss out on job opportunities.
Sometimes, when we blame the politicians, I laugh. Politicians are doing everything they can to work as politicians. It’s just that when you’re lazy in your mind and you don’t know how to take advantage of opportunities yourself, you will always be talking about politicians,” he stated.
According to the “Freedom” hitmaker, politicians in Ghana do not use the country’s money for their gluttony, they invest in developmental projects, especially in the rural areas.
“Politicians are like cartels with how they run things. It’s not that they’re disrespecting the people; they promise, and you vote for them. But when they go to the white man and take money from them, the white man thinks that they will use it to provide jobs for the youth. They don’t know that the politician will take that money and give it to cheap labour, those from the rural areas”, he added.
According to Shatta Wale, the nation’s politicians “know that those who went to tertiary institutions will not apply.” It’s clear to our politicians that young people like wearing suits and ostentatious items. They’d prefer not to work in construction. Nonetheless, the building industry is very profitable.
