Qinwen Zheng( born on October 8, 2002) is a professional tennis player from China. She competes in the US Open, Wimbledon, the French Open, and the Australian Open.

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) reports that on January 29, 2024, she reached a career-high global singles ranking of No. 7.

She has accomplished a number of career highlights, including two WTA Tour championships, one WTA Challenger title, and eight ITF singles titles. She won the title of WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2022.

Zheng began her career at a young age under Pere Riba. She plays with a right two-handed backhand and has participated in all four tournaments. Zheng has made her way to the international stage and is a notable figure in China and the tennis industry, with a career record of 132-54.

In 2021, she defeated Linda Fruhvirtová to win the Tennis Future Hamburg. As well, she also won a US$60,000 prize money at the final event Macha Lake Open in Staré Splavy after beating Aleksandra Krunić to the trophy.

Zheng reached her first WTA semi-final where he triumphed over Japanese player Mai Hontama. She qualified for the first Grand Slam event at the Australian Open. Her first match was against Belarusian player Aliaksandra Sasnovich.

Zheng has played Grand Slam singles in the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open. Over the years, she has made a name for herself on those big stages with staggering performances with so much potential in each match. She has a brighter future ahead if she can be consistent and give 100% every time she’s on the court.
