Despite being a woman, Gyakie, a multi-award-winning artist from Ghana, has revealed why she dresses like a boy.
Co-host Berla Mundi questioned Gyakie about the sources of her fashion inspiration during an appearance on TV3’s New Day program. Gyakie feels as though she dresses more tomboyishly.
In response, Gyakie stated that while selecting an outfit, comfort comes first.

“I believe boys look great in what they wear,” the woman remarked.
The award-winning singer continued by saying that there are times when she dresses more femininely and exudes a girly feel.

The tight corset, however, usually prevents her from breathing while wearing her attire.
“I dress how I feel about myself. I want to walk about without fretting.”
