“We’re Not Getting Anything From The Fame; Our Manager Has Even Sold His Car To Push Us” – Konko Band
We all know how fame nowadays is accompanied by money, but in the case of the popular Ghanaian music parady band, the Konko band has said otherwise in a recent interview during the launch of Kyekyeku’s 1957 movie.
According to the group, when asked if there have been times musicians have come to them not to use their songs, they said no. However, most musicians come to them and join them to make a parody video for their songs, as they always do.
Moving forward, the interviewer asked if they were benefiting from whatever they were doing now; they also said “no. For now, it’s our manager, Kyzzyz, who has been holding us down for a while, and he has even sold his car to sponsor us.”
