If filling a stadium is a yardstick then Fancy Gadam should win Artiste of the Year – Efia Odo

Socialite Efia Odo believes that an artist’s ability to fill a stadium shouldn’t be used as a criterion for determining who should win artist of the year.

On social media, discussions around this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year nominee have taken center stage.

Because every musician in the category is deserving, there is disagreement among music fans on the winner.

But because Stonebwoy and King Promise defied the obstacles and took their music outside of Ghana, these two musicians are at the center of online discussions.

Efia Odo added her voice to the ongoing discussions, stating that a person’s ability to fill a stadium is insufficient justification for being crowned.

She said that after packing the Tamale Sports stadium multiple times, Fancy Gadam hasn’t been treated fairly all these years if that is the yardstick.

Her Tweet read “I think it’s cuz Shatta and sark has won it twice so that means he too he wants it twice(I’ve not mentioned names ) . The old man should should just leave it for the kids cuz it’s evident that numbers don’t lie. If you like let’s compare king promises numbers to others . If doing doing shows at the stadium is a yardstick, like fancy gadam Sef should win AOTY, SIMPLE”.
