When you Born, take Care of Them - Shatta Wale goes raw on his sick mother again

Shatta Wale, the king of African dancehall, has opened up about his difficult relationship with his mother on social media, revealing the effects of his mother’s previous neglect on his life.

The well-known musician said in a poignant and concerning statement on his Facebook wall that he become what he described as an irresponsible and unstable person today because he did not have parental support throughout his formative years.

Following her public plea this weekend that she had not seen her son in over a decade, his mother, Madam Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, made this disclosure.

In her plea, she lamented Shatta Wale’s failure to care for her, even in her times of dire need.

Reacting to his mother’s claims, Shatta Wale admitted that, although he loves his mother, he feels no obligation to support her financially.

He attributed this stance to the neglect he suffered as a child, asserting that his mother’s abandonment during his early years justifies his current detachment.
