73 percent of our gospel musicians live in rented houses; they’re broke – Broda Sammy Reveals
Ghanaian gospel musician Broda Sammy has indicated that about 73% of gospel musicians still live in rented houses because they are broke.
The gospel musician blamed the problem on the low pay gospel artists receive when they perform at events, a phenomenon that has been happening for a longer time as most people assume that, gospel musicians are in that profession as a way to praise God and as such shouldn’t be fixated on making any profit from it.
Brother Sammy said this during his interview with Ruthy, the host of The Dice Show, on SeanCity TV.
He bemoaned the fact that gospel musicians are paid nothing after they help these churches raise huge sums of funds through music.
