I’ll lay an irrevocable curse on you – Opambour clashes with Vim Lady
In a fiery turn of events, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour, the founder of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre, has directed strong words at popular media personality Afia Pokuaa, also known as Vim Lady.
Opambour’s remarks came during a recent sermon after a heated exchange that stemmed from his earlier criticisms of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s focus on digitalization and the Ghana Card.
Opambour had questioned the practicality of the Ghana Card, expressing scepticism about its real-world benefits.
“Can the Ghana Card solve poverty? Can it provide jobs? Can it buy me a car?” he asked rhetorically, challenging the NPP’s vision and drawing attention to what he believes are more pressing issues for the average Ghanaian.
In response, Vim Lady didn’t hold back, suggesting that critics of the Ghana Card’s impact might lack insight. Without directly naming Opambour, she hinted at him with a sharp comment: “Anyone who doesn’t see the importance of the Ghana Card clearly isn’t thinking deeply,” she stated, implying that opposition to the digitalization push reflected a limited perspective.
Opambour wasn’t pleased. In a video shared by MyNewsGH.com and One Ghana TV, he and one of his junior pastors retaliated with intense words, escalating the disagreement.
Opambour’s associate pastor openly called Vim Lady “foolish” and accused her of lacking moral character, while Opambour himself suggested that she had crossed a line by challenging him. “I can place a curse that no one will be able to revoke,” he threatened, asserting his authority and warning her of serious spiritual repercussions.
